Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s message of coronavirus
In the midst of panic buying products due to the current situation about the coronavirus, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong giving a much comforting speech to all Singaporeans. He said that coronavirus outbreak will be a kind of test for Singapore’s social cohesion including psychological resilience. It is a kind call for all Singaporeans to be calm.
A video was made by PM Lee Hsien Loong on the 2019-nCoV situation in Singapore on February 8, 2020.
He suggested that all Singaporeans should stay calm when facing this situation as fear will do more harm instead. Therefore, we should not panic even though the status of DORSCON level had raised to Orange which was similar during 2009 for the H1N1 swine flu situation. It does not mean locking down the city or confining people in their homes. It is comforting to hear him telling us not to stock up for those essential supplies as our country possesses ample supplies.
Should there be any changes in the current situation of being worsens then we will need to come up with a new strategy instead. Just like what you have heard in his speech, we all should do our parts in keeping ourselves safe like wearing mask when you are not feeling well and with proper washing of our hands with soap. All the right measures should be taken to combat with this coronavirus and soon we will be free from it. Everyone just do their parts in keeping ourselves safe and avoid spreading when you are feeling unwell. Take all necessary precaution and be safe.
Thumb up for our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong!
