Going to talk about FOOD first because FOOD always gets people high and crazy for one reason or another. Especially Singaporeans! (:
We had food at the KOPITIAM of PLAZA SINGAPURA at Dhoby Ghaut because I was going there to collect my lovely PAY! (:
Hokkien Mee at $4!
Was pretty much a GONE CASE the minute I saw how awfully dry the Hokkien Mee was. Its like $4? Which is the norm for something at a Kopitiam near the town area.
The noodles was horrifically dry and eh, really couldn’t say anything much to salvage it.
So the best suggestion would be NOT TO TRY IT!
Oyster Omelette at $4!
The oyster omelette was ok la, pretty average but I must say that the chilli sucked! Like ewwww.Tasted far too limey for a good chilli sauce.
For good oyster omelette always go back to AH CHUAN’S OYSTER OMELETTE! (At Toa Payoh Lorong 7) Though the serving is relatively small there, but the oyster omelette and the chilli is to die for.
Mee Goreng at $4!
Blah, the mee goreng was TASTELESS! As spicy and tasty as it looks, one mouthful of it and boy it is a goner.
So in conclusion, everything from Kopitiam is a GONER. hahaha. But its good for cheap and fast food I guess. (:
After that since we are at Plaza Sing, we decided to try out the FAMOUS ICE MONSTER!
We’ve seen the countless advertisements and how delicious it is, how they use D24 durians and all that bullcrap. And I swear we’ve been DYING TO TRY IT.
I don’t even know how the heck I managed to take the photo, such that it looks so good, so tantalizing and the serving SO BIG!
Because I swear to God that it was the SMALL-IEST bowl of snow ice I have seen in my life. And it was so freaking expensive at like $6.50! Like wtf?
And I don’t care what they said about the ice cream being made by themselves, or the durian being freshly plucked from durians because I would rather buy a tub of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and a whole durian then pay again for that bowl of crap.
They didn’t even to put evaporated milk on the ice so that when all that durian and mango hoo ha is gone, the ice would at least have TASTE.
A $2 ice kachang comes with red beans, corn, jelly and atapchi. But this bowl of crap had nothing except the mango and durian on top.
And it wasn’t like they were particularly generous. And I paid $6.50 for it. Like $6.50!!!! WTF.
So in conclusion, don’t in your freaking madness go and buy one bowl of it. Like seriously. It sucks la!!! ARGH!
I’d get more satisfaction eating durian straight from the durian and ice straight from the fridge then pay to eat that again! LIKE SERIOUSLY.
Anyway, I decided to get my nails painted! And I regretted immediately! Look at the results.
I went for a really dark blue-ish colour!
Which is like the really in colour nowadays but it turned out horrible!! As in from some angles, the colour looked like algae green, some angles it looked purple but UP CLOSE IT LOOKED LIKE SHIT.
The texture wasn’t smooth, and there were bubbles and I just cut my fingernails making them look fucking ugly!
So after that I just wanted to scratch my face out but then the narcissistic me just wanted to take plenty of photos so I would remember for life how damn ugly it looked.
My brother asked me if I was trying to be EMO! Like omg, toally not. I should have just told him that I was doing it for HALLOWEEN.
Seriously. Damn ugly. And badly done. Never going to go for dark colours!
Unless you want to look like a witch. Shit.
